“A movement is dance when our feeling for the form dominates the experience”
Barbara Mettler (teacher and student of Mary Wigman)
The goal of this workshop is to experience, liberate and cultivate the expressive movement resources which lie within each of us, regardless of morphology, age or experience. The aim is to propose a learning environment, to think and to move, to sense and to feel, in order to find deeper connection to the creative process. We will investigate the body and various qualities of movement, using the tools and the language of dance to evoke a personal experience. Investigating the interaction of different fundamental aspects of dance (weight, force, time and space) each of which we can learn to explore with freedom awareness and control.
